Rafting the Main Salmon with Helfrich River Adventures
A rafting trip down the Main Salmon River is ideally suited for families or larger groups due to it's emphasis on group activites such as hiking, fishing, camping, swimming and boating.

The five day trip takes you down the final 55 miles of the Salmon Rivers Main Stem and 15 miles of the Snake River, travelling through some of the most beautiful country in the US.

At each night's stop a deluxe camp is setup where we cook and bbq steak, fish, dutch oven biscuits, fresh salads and more all in fine Northwest Style.

A list of suggested equipment is sent to each person on the trip, we furnish tents, food and fishing gear as well as beer and soft drinks. View our packing list here.

Equipment
We run multi chambered inflatable boats with between 4 and 8 passengers and a guide.

river location graphicIdaho's Salmon River is the largest free-flowing river the in the lower 48 states. Getting it's start in the Sawtooth Mountain Range and joined by the Middle Fork the Salmon has gouged a deep desert canyon that sees little if any human traffic.

Magnificent scenery, incredible camping, crystal clear water and the solitude of the Desert West all await you on Idaho's Salmon.
